Curriculum Intent – Music 

Music is a universal language that is inclusive to all children. Music education at Glynwood aims to engage and inspire children to develop a love of music and their talent as musicians, so increasing their self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement. In music lessons pupils are encouraged to use their voices expressively, taught how to play a variety of musical instruments and appreciate a range of musical genres. We want to show how music engages the soul and increases positivity and well- being. Most of all we want to inspire children to enjoy and experience the fun of music in all its forms, be it singing assemblies, extra- curricular activities such as our popular and successful singing club and appreciating how life affirming music can be.
