Welcome back to school.  Finally it feels like summer is just around the corner!  This is always a jam-packed term full of interesting challenges and opportunities for year 6 pupils.  We have sporting events like Glynwood games and the Athletics festival at Gateshead Stadium, end of year performances and discos as well as the dreaded SATs.  The tests take place during the week beginning the 14th May, so please make sure to avoid any holidays or appointments during that week.

This term we will try to get in more outdoor lessons – especially P.E, so please try and make sure you have suitable clothing for all types of weather!  We will be receiving visits from your chosen secondary schools over the next few weeks and then you will get the chance to visit them yourselves during transition week – for most schools this is the first week in July.

Hopefully we will have an amazing final term here at Glynwood and take away lots of treasured memories for our journey onwards.  Have a great term!

Judo Masterclass!

Football update

The year 5 and 6 team played in a 5 a side tournament at Thomas Hepburn School and performed really well in their matches.  They won two of their group matches and eventually came third overall.  Well done to all the boys and girls on the team.

Shape up in Maths postponed
