YEAR 3

Mrs Overman and Miss Bowes
YEAR 3

AutumnTerm 2018

Our first topic is about Newcastle and Gateshead. Soon we will be having a trip to the quayside which will include a visit to Castle Keep.

In Science we are studying rocks and soils.

Our first book in English is about a superhero called Traction Man.

In Maths we use a scheme called Abacus. As part of this we will set simple online homework once the children have settled in to their new classes.

In PE we will be playing some team games, as well as learning to play tag rugby.

In Year 3 the children begin to use our reading scheme called Accelerated Reader. The children complete an online quiz after they have read a book, which is then used to assess their comprehension skills.

Minpins in the garden?
