YEAR 3

Spring Term 2019

Happy New Year and welcome to the Spring Term of Year 3. Our main focus for the first part of the term will be on our production of ‘The Bee Musical’. The children will soon be bringing home scripts and songs to learn. We are sure that it will be an extravaganza for you to enjoy!

We are also very lucky to receive some coaching sessions this half term in gymnastics and multi-skills.

We hope that it will be a successful and enjoyable term!

Year 3 Discover Stone Age Tools

Year 3 became archaeologists on Monday morning. Stone Age bones and flint tools were discovered in the grounds and our year 3 historians found they were from 3700 BCE!!! We will now use this evidence to write reports in our English and Topic lessons.

Year 3 W/E Pedestrian Training

Year 3 W/E have been learning all about being safe when walking near and crossing roads. Our visitors have taught us how to cross at T-junctions and what to do when there are lots of parked cars. We have learnt a lot about keeping very safe!

Everyone enjoys the water panto!!

Some people came in to talk to us from Northumbrian Water, but did it through a theatre show. It was very funny and all the children really enjoyed it. We all learned that "only toilet paper, pee and poo, go down the loo".

Great Charity Night

Yesterday evening's charity night was a great success. All of the choirs sang beautifully, it was very well attended and we raised an amazing £738.06 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust! Thank you all for your support.  

Outdoor Day in Year 3!
