Summer Term 2017

A huge welcome back after the Easter holidays to the Summer Term. We hope you enjoyed the break.

We are starting this term with the topic of ‘Weather’. We will be looking at weather patterns, symbols, making instruments to measure the weather and using maps to look at weather around the world.

Science work will be based around plants.

We will continue working on a variety of Maths skills and English work in preparation for the SATS tests which will take place in May. Spellings will continue to be given out on a Friday and tested the following Friday.

After the half term break, children will do some work on the outdoors and we will focus on the seaside. We may even sneak a little trip in!

Children will also have their turn at doing Forest School sessions, having camp fires and using tools.

Once again some creative homework tasks will be set to fit in with our other topics.

We look forward to working with your children.

Any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to come and see us.
