RECEPTION

Mrs Yielder and Miss Crawley

Summer Term 2017

Welcome to the Summer term, we can’t quite believe how quickly this year has gone!

As usual we will be busy this term and have lots of things to look forward to, such as planting and growing, sports day and water day. We will also be continuing to follow the children’s interests. Hopefully the weather will remain good to allow us to make the most of our outdoor spaces. We will planning some trips for the summer term and will keep you informed nearer the time.

In the run up to the children going in to Year 1 we are encouraging them to continue to develop their independence and we have also introduced ‘Star Jobs’. These are jobs/activities that the children have to complete through out the week in order to prepare them for the changes in  routine in Year 1.

The transition from Reception to Year 1 is a big step for all children and we plan a series of transition times for the children to meet and get to know the new staff and classroom.

Thank you for your continued support and please don’t forget to check the website to see what we have been up to in Reception.
