Summer Term 2018

Welcome back to Nursery for the Summer term. We cannot believe how fast this year is going and how much the children have grown not only in size but in independence over the holidays!
This term we will begin to spend time focusing on transitions and change, to help prepare for the big move from Nursery to Reception. Also preparing our returner nursery children for some of their friends to be moving on and the arrival of new friends in September.
We realise that the move from nursery to reception is a big step for children and parents/carers. Please feel free to chat to staff about any concerns you may have. We will be organising times where we will visit reception for play sessions and where reception staff will come into nursery to do our story times.
Please keep an eye out on the noticeboard for information on the days we will be doing this so you can also chat to your child at home about this.
As the weather changes we will be looking at spending more time outdoors planting and growing flowers and vegetables. We will be continuing to follow children’s interests and use this to help us plan different learning opportunities.
Following our successful Ladies Pamper Day we will be organising a day for all the male role models in June. Keep an eye out on the notice board for upcoming dates!

Thank you for your continued support
