Welcome to Glynwood Primary School
On behalf of Glynwood Community Primary, I am delighted to welcome you to the school website. I hope that you find all the information that you need.
Glynwood is a very happy school where everyone works together to achieve the absolute best for the children. The dedicated staff team work hard to ensure that everyone in the school community has a voice, is valued and reaches their full potential in everything that they do. We are very proud of the curriculum and the opportunities that the children are offered both as part of the school day and beyond. We also work hard to embed the values of resilience, excellence, support, pride, engagement, creativity and team work (RESPECT) within the curriculum and wider opportunities.
This website contains lots of information about the school as well as the latest school news. Please also see our Twitter feed for up to the minute information.
My door is always open, so if you have any questions or you would like to arrange a visit to the school then please feel free to call into the main office and make an appointment.
With my very best wishes,
Mrs Vicky Nellis

A number of local residents, especially in Glynwood Gardens, have expressed their concerns over people parking over their driveways. Whilst it is not against the law to park over driveways, it is very inconsiderate. Please respect our neighbours and park considerately.
Outdoor learning is an important part of our Nursery curriculum and the children enjoy lots of opportunities to work outside. We have recently set up a new digging area and the children love searching for minibeasts !
The children in Nursery found a torn teddy and wondered what to do with him. Some children suggested we took him to hospital and so we did ! We set up our own role play hospital and the children loved taking on the roles of nurses, doctors and receptionists....
One of our favourite stories in Nursery is Jack and the Beanstalk which was made even more exciting when the Giant came to visit us ! He hid some magic beans and we had to follow a photo hunt all around the school grounds to find them ! We planted them and have...
The children have been practising hard to write their names. Some of them don't even need to look at their name card for support ! Some of the children are now starting to write their surnames too !!
The children in Nursery have been having great fun climbing, balancing, rolling and jumping in the PE hall. Michael Thompson says "It's my favourite thing to do !"
This half term's Reception activity club has been very busy. Children from Green Group have chosen to take part in either cookery or karate club. The children have been keeping fit whilst having lots of fun learning new karate moves. Over in the kitchen, they have...
