A number of local residents, especially in Glynwood Gardens, have expressed their concerns over people parking over their driveways. Whilst it is not against the law to park over driveways, it is very inconsiderate. Please respect our neighbours and park considerately.
Year 1 have been outside again enjoying their topic "The Great Outdoors". Today they heard the story "Goodnight Owl". They then went outside to make their own owl masks using natural materials.
Some of the children in Year 1 have been doing some brilliant reading in their peer tutor reading group alongside the Year 5 children. Well done to all the children involved. Here they are enjoying a party to celebrate their success.
Year 1 have been learning how to do subtraction sums by jumping along a number line in the corridor. It was great fun.
Year 1 have done a super job of learning all about dictionaries in their literacy work this week. They found out that all the words are in alphabetical order and that dictionaries help us to spell correctly. Children have also had a go at writing their own...
As part of our work in PSHE/C, some guide dogs came in to visit us. We met a blind man with his working dog, a puppy in training and 4 retired working dogs. The children learned a lot about the life of a guide dog and really enjoyed their visit.
Some of us have had great fun reading with our Year 5 Tutors, each Year 2 Buddy reading over 20 books in three weeks. We also celebrated with an end of sessions party. The Peer Tutor project is organised by Miss McMahon and Mrs. Taylor, with Year 5...
