Experience / Areas of Expertise –

  • In my current role I confidently take the lead on working with learners on a 1-1 basis. Typically this includes carrying out 1-1 reviews where I work on building trust relationships. There I ca implement strategies to meet individual learner’s needs
  • I arrange intervention sessions through professional discussions
  • I work with individuals on their learner journey throughout the academic year. A key part to this is monitoring progress, carrying out reviews, setting SMART targets and direct observations in work placements. I also work with learners to set, stretch and challenge targets to meet learners differing needs.
  • As well as building relationships with learners I am often involved with establishing positive relationships with parents and carers.
  • I am required to provide detailed reports and provide learner feedback using our online ILP system.
  • I have devised sessions to define what skills and competence is required in the workplace. A plan is then devised to monitor and evaluate learner’s progress and to directly observe them in their work placement. Through direct observation each learner will receive verbal and written feedback which identifies their progress and reflects their ability to link theory to practice.
  • One of the focuses of my role is to develop effective relationships with schools, nurseries, agencies and other professionals. This involves organising work placements and supporting individuals learning and achievement.
