Year 3 had a fantastic day visiting some of the famous landmarks our local area has to offer. We started our tour at Grey’s Monument and headed down Dean street towards the Quay Side. We looked at Bessie Surtee’s house and learned some interesting facts. From there, we walked over the Swing Bridge onto the Gateshead side. We saw The Sage and The Batlic and then walked over the Millenium Bridge. With tired legs and rumbling tummies, we headed to The Castle Keep for our lunch and spent the afternoon there exploring the ruins of the castle and learning about what life was like in Medieval times. A great day was had by all and the nice weather certainly made it very enjoyable.
