We had a visit today from Miss Armstrong, an ex-pupil of ours, who currently teaches at Cardinal Hume Catholic School, and who has recently returned from a visit to an orphanage and school in Malawi, Africa. She told us all about her visit and how she, together with pupils from Cardinal Hume, have been raising money to improve the conditions and opportunities for the children in the orphanage, by donating uniform, school equipment, toiletries, etc.

The next project is to raise funds to go towards building a dormitory at the Chiame II Cdss Shool, so that the girls, who currently have to walk up to 7 miles each way to get to and from school with no street lamps to guide them, can stay at the school overnight to be safe. Year 5 and 6 have decided to help with fundraising for this worthwhile project. Look out for further details!!
