Nursery are having a busy week this week celebrating the Queens 90th Birthday.

Today we made Her Majesty some lovely potions and perfumes and sent them off to Buckingham Palace by First Class express mail! To make our bottled goodies we collected daisies, buttercups, blossoms, leaves and other natural things from the outdoors. We then added some special coloured water and added a pinch of glitter to make them look pretty. We had to do lots of careful measuring and pouring when filling up our bottles; making sure they were full up to the top but not overflowing! The turkey basters proved to be a favourite tool for transporting the water and we even used little teapots- in keeping with the British theme!

During our carpet time we wrote a shared message to the Queen to send in the box with our bottles. We thought hard about what detail to add and made sure we were very polite! We are very excited to see if we hear anything back from the palace!

Tomorrow Nursery will be making scones for their little British picnic on Friday- yum yum! They will also be joining the rest of the school in dressing up in red, white and blue.
