We used some of the rhubarb from our school garden to make a delicious rhubarb crumble. We picked the rhubarb, washed and cooked it, then made our own crumble topping, by rubbing butter into flour with sugar. Some of us thought it was yummy, some of us weren’t quite so sure!!

Children from Mrs Alloms / Commons class enjoyed picking and trying out some fresh produce from the school greenhouse. They tried cucumber and tomatoes. Yum! Delicious!!

The Year 2 classes had a fantastic time at Beamish Museum recently learning all about what life was like 100 years ago. There’ll be lots of fun activities back at school to follow up what they found.

Some of our nursery children had a lovely day dressing up as pirates and doing lots of fantastic piratey things! The children enjoyed going on a hunt, and found treasure in the sand and gold (chocolate!) coins in the garden! Later on, they sang pirate songs and listened to pirate stories. It was an exciting day for all!
